Enhanced features

• Practice questions arrive one at a time, starting almost immediately. You used to wait for the whole quiz to be written before anything appeared — often half a minute of watching a spinner. Now the first question comes up within a few seconds and you can start working on it straight away, while the remaining questions are written in the background. By the time you have read and answered the first one, the rest are usually already waiting.

  Nothing about the questions themselves has changed. They are written to the same standard, by the same model, from the same session — you just are not kept waiting for all of them before you can begin.

• The questions are planned as a set before any of them are written. A separate step now maps out what the quiz will cover before the writing starts, which keeps any two questions from testing the same thing in different words. Expect a quiz that covers more ground.

• The standalone Practice Quiz page got the same speed-up. Starting a quiz from the Practice Questions button now behaves like the one inside a session.

Bug fixes

• Dr. Olivia no longer mistakes her own explanations for your knowledge. If you asked her to walk you through a practice question, or to draw you a diagram, she could file her answer as something you had already demonstrated — so a question you asked because you were unsure could end up on your record as a topic you had mastered. Over time that would have shaped her teaching around things you had only been shown, not things you had shown her.

  She now takes what she remembers about you only from what you say and do in the session. Being walked through an answer no longer counts as having given it, and asking a question is treated as what it is — a question. The notes already recorded this way have been set aside and are no longer used.
